Yesterday was my first ever Mothers Day and ... I LOVED IT!!! Last week I got my pressie from Scott which he 'made' at daycare - his little cute footprint on a tile with the message 'Voor mama, dikke kus Scott' (to mama big kiss Scott) shame my little Dutch baby hahaha so cute - I opened the little package and just felt my chest close up and the tear ducts open - what an amazing feeling getting the first little self-made gift from your child - nothing in the world could possibly feel better. I stood here in the lounge with tears in my eyes not knowing what to do with myself and poor Mart just held me - the poor man doesn't know what to do when I get so emotional.
That was not the end of it though as on Saturday I received the most gorgeous bunch of flowers from my own beautiful Mother - thank you Mumzy ...
And then yesterday when I walked into the lounge, there was little Scott sitting in his 'wipstoeltje' with a package in his lap haha a book for the Mother from him and daddy :o) This was then followed by breakfast from my gorgeous husband - croissants (freshly baked) and freshly squeezed orange juice. Delish!
We also went round to Dawn and Lawrence for a braai yesterday afternoon which was great and the mommies didn't have to do a thing - absolutely fabulous - I say bring on Mothers day every year what a way/day to be spoiled. Thank you my wonderful husband and son for making me feel so special - I am blessed and I love you.
